SRM Beer Testing Service
Hi everyone!
We're here to let you know about a pretty sweet new service that we're going to be offering. Now part of the way we like to rock things here at FireflySci is always helping out the little guys and people who are just starting out. So this new service is right up the alley of people who brew their own beer!
Yes that's right our new service is for SRM beer testing. Don't know what SRM beer is? Well we wrote a post about it here and we go into detail on how to perform your own SRM beer experiment.
What's great about this service is that it gives those smaller breweries some solid numbers to work with for the brewing process. The old school method of this type of test was using color slides, which is know as the Lovibond System. But using a spectrophotometer gives you a solid number to work with so there is no guess work involved.
Why can't breweries do their own SRM beer test? Truth be told they can. But they have to be willing to invest in a spectrophotometer, which even a crappy one will run you in the thousands and of course they'll need those pretty little cuvettes that we make. We save you the expense and maintenance fees that goes along with this equipment which saves tons of money and headaches.
What do I have to do to get my SRM beer test by FireflySci?
That's easy! Simply send us a small sample of your beer. Say about 8 fl. oz. or so and we'll take it from there. We'll run your sample on our UV-VIS spectrophotometer using the best UV quartz cuvettes and we'll give you the results.
How fast can FFS do an SRM beer test?
We know your time is valuable and that's why we'll run your SRM beer sample the day it arrives at our lab. So pretty much as fast as you can ship it to us, is as fast as we can test it for you.
Where do I send my SRM beer sample to?
Here is our shipping address:
FireflySci Inc.
12 Warren Court
Suite A
Northport, NY 11768
If you are interested in taking advantage of this cool new service please send us an e-mail at info@fireflysci.com.
