Today I'd like to talk about something that not many people know about regarding our spectrophotometer calibration standards.

Now everybody knows that FireflySci manufactures the highest grade, NIST traceable calibration standards in the world. Our lab is also fully ISO 17025 accredited, but accomplishments aside we offer many advantages on why we are the best spectrophotometer calibration company around.

Many people have upgraded to our solid-state calibration standards because they do not require calibration due to material aging. All our solid filters are coated with a special coating to lock in the original materials of the glass, but truth be told when a solid filter is cared for properly, then there is no need for re-calibration.

Basic care is really your best friend as with anything else you own. It just takes a little bit of TLC and maintenance to keep your standards running as well as the day you got them.
